E-Mail Services

We are now providing our members with a free E-mail Account.
 We are using a universal structure to provide them so that the
 surveyors are easily contacted as needed for professional matters.

 A surveyors email account will be their state of licensure a period
 is and your license number @surveyors.org.

 Example: Ted Madson is a surveyor licensed in Florida his license
 number is 1847. Therefore his E-mail address would be:

fl.ls1840@surveyors.org

Configuring your Email Software
Outlook, Outlook Express, IMAP Software, etc...

Example Settings

Mail Server Username: fl.ls1840@surveyors.org
Incoming Mail Server: mail.surveyors.org
Incoming Mail Server: (SSL) ted.surveyors.org

Outgoing Mail Server:
mail.surveyors.org (server requires authentication) port 25

Outgoing Mail Server:
(SSL) ted.surveyors.org (server requires authentication) port 465

Supported Incoming Mail Protocols:
POP3, POP3S (SSL/TLS), IMAP, IMAPS (SSL/TLS)

Supported Outgoing Mail Protocols:
SMTP, SMTPS (SSL/TLS)

 

 

MAC Users

* Mac Mail IMAP Note: The "IMAP Path Prefix" needs to be set to INBOX otherwise Mail.app will not be able to store deleted, draft or sent mail on the server.

iPhone and iPod touch: If IMAP Mail folders are not visible

Summary

If you sync IMAP mail account settings from your computer to iPhone or iPod touch, and the IMAP folders on your computer are all shown under your Inbox folder, then it might not work as expected on the device.

If this is the case, you may need to specify what is called an IMAP path prefix. You can enter the IMAP path prefix by choosing Settings > Mail > Account > Advanced > IMAP Path Prefix.

Additional Information

ISPs that require IMAP path prefixes usually provide instructions for configuring them, so check with your ISP or network administrator for additional information.
